Environment
Since our foundation, we have sought to work with environmentally friendly machinery, raw material and processes. Since 1997 we have been operating under a Process Management system in favor of quality and environment, obtaining the certifications ISO 9001- ISO 14001 in the year 2000, to date.
We became Neutral Carbon in 2015 under the INTE B5:2016 standard.
Business Management Policy

C-Neutrality
We have been a Carbon Neutral company since 2015; we are working with a topic as key as climate change. We have an inventory for greenhouse effect gases, thus mitigating and compensating carbon footprint of the organitation. This inventory is verified by a third party; in Costa Rica, this third party is the Instituto de NormasTécnicas (INTECO – Technical Standards Institute). Additionally, we have obtained the C-Neutral Certification of the Programa País (Country Program) awarded by the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica; by doing this, we seek to always carry out ongoing improvements to benefit the environment, raise awareness on the part of collaborators and their relatives about its care and show the productive sector that it is possible to offer quality and innovative products that benefit the environment.
Extended Producer Responsibility Program
Additionally, we have the EPR Program (Extended Producer Responsibility Program), through which we have committed to collect all waste generated by our customers due to label consumption. This waste being: cardboard, packaging material and adhesive material, which is adequately managed. This is a free service offered by ETIPRES to all customers.
Corporate Social Responsibility
At ETIPRES we care about the consequences and impacts that our activities may generate on the interest groups, considering the social, environmental and financial fields. Therefore, we have committed to manage Corporate Social Responsibility in consistency with our strategy under the Corporate Social Responsibility Management System and with the INTE 35-01-01:2012 Standard. The certification was obtained in 2014.
I am a Volunteer (Soy Voluntario)
I am a Volunteer has the purpose of “Promoting empathy in each one of our collaborators to achieve positive impact in society and aiming at guaranteeing a better world for the future generations”, as well as encouraging all collaborators to participate in social welfare activities.
Among the carried-out projects we can find:
- Comprehensive support, cleaning and maintenance of facilities in Education Centers.
- Support to the children´s club “Semillitas de Amor” by the neighboring communities.
- Support to the Senior Citizens´ Groups in the area.
- Periodic cleaning of the neighboring communities.
- Support to the Teletón Program.

Global Compact
We are signatories of the United Nations Global Compact, which is the greatest world´s volunteer initiative in terms of corporate citizenship.
Companies agree with the Global Compact since they share the belief that corporate practices based on universal principles contribute to the creation of a more stable and inclusive global market, as well as more prosperous companies.
